Lewis Morris Park Parking Lot

Great hikes many options.

How do you rate a parking lot? Well, that's exactly what I am doing. It's a small lot that is part of Lewis Morris Park. It's a convenient location that divides two sides of the park. They have a crosswalk light for you to be seen when crossing the street but driving out of the lot may be a little trickier as the left side can be a little tough to see around the curve/tree growth. I can't believe I really reviewed a parking lot....

Beautiful and very fun.. Great for hiking and family.
Swimming was a challenge.. Biting flies on the beach.. Bad!! In the water, the fish are so unafraid of people that they come right up and nibble your legs.

Great walking trails - very shady. Was quiet the day we were there even though it was a beautiful summer Sunday afternoon.

Fishing, hiking, biking, running, swimming and boating. This place has it all. The picnic areas are neat and clean. The grass fields are immaculate with solid green grass that is always cut. The park does a great job here. This is a hidden gem in Morris County that you should take advantage of especially over the summer months. Great Job Morris County Parks Commision. I will be back for sure.
